How to use air conditioning system to promote building energy efficiency?

As the deadline for the final implementation of the “11th Five-Year Plan” building energy saving target in 2010 is approaching, how to speed up the promotion of building energy conservation through technological means has attracted the attention of various parties such as the government, real estate companies and building component manufacturers.
Not long ago, in the “Building Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection” special field of Boao·21 Century Real Estate Forum in 2008, Park Yingguo, general manager of Samsung Commercial Air Conditioning Sales Department explained from a professional point of view “how to use air conditioning systems to make buildings more 'green'” and To interpret through examples, it is worth learning.
Forced "green" change
In the government's “Energy Conservation and Emissions Reduction” target system, building energy efficiency must achieve two goals: First, in 2010, energy efficiency in buildings in all cities and towns should reach 50%, and mega cities and some cities must achieve early 65%; Second, by 2020, the energy efficiency of buildings in all towns will reach 65%.
In order to realize the goal of building energy conservation as scheduled, Premier Wen Jiabao called for greater efforts to promote energy conservation and emission reduction at the National Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Working Conference last year, strengthened industry access management, and “strictly placed land and credit at two gates”. Some analysts believe that this is related to the global energy shortage, especially the soaring international oil prices in recent years. The rise in international oil prices has directly led to a sharp increase in domestic energy costs such as oil and electricity, forcing the government to step up its implementation of "energy saving and emission reduction," and has made stringent entry thresholds and energy conservation standards for various industries. For example, a series of macro-controls, such as monetary tightening, limited land supply, and upgrade of air-conditioning energy efficiency standards, all lead to the “green” policy orientation. To sum up, one of the goals of the government's macroeconomic regulation and control is to force the high energy-consuming industries such as real estate to abandon the previously extensive and wasteful growth model and change the “green” road.
Park Ying-kuo pointed out that building energy conservation involves many factors, the biggest of which is heating and cooling. According to statistics, the energy consumption of air-conditioning systems accounts for 50 to 70% of the total energy consumption of buildings, and this ratio is as high as 90% for individual offices because of climate, functions, and features. Therefore, whether commercial air-conditioning is efficient is closely related to the extent to which real estate projects can achieve the “green” goal, and therefore bear the brunt of the government’s efforts to promote building energy-saving.
The recently released "Energy Conservation Law" supporting national standards will clearly improve the entry threshold for air conditioning energy efficiency from the original five-level energy efficiency level to three, by 2011, four, five energy efficiency levels will be eliminated. Regardless of whether it is a large-scale public building or a residential one, the assessment of the energy efficiency of air-conditioning has entered a quantitative assessment stage.
The key to choosing the equipment
The ultimate goal of real estate development companies is to improve the quality of living and the livability index. It can be seen that building energy conservation does not limit people’s energy consumption and affects people’s normal production and life. The real idea should be to adopt technological innovations to improve energy efficiency.
The “partial load energy efficiency ratio” index more comprehensively reflects the energy efficiency in the central air-conditioning operation process. The current national-level standard is 3.60, and the country’s only designated energy-saving certification laboratory—the highest ever announced by the Hefei General Product Inspection Center. It is 4.55. This record was created by Samsung DVM PLUS III series. It is understood that the reason why Samsung's commercial air conditioners are "efficient and energy-efficient" lies in the core technologies they employ, and incorporates cutting-edge digital control technology and scroll compressor technology to achieve a very smooth, infinitely-polarized control, which greatly improves system energy efficiency. .
"Stepless regulation" is similar to the smooth transition of car exhaust from 1.0 to 6.0, thus avoiding the high power consumption caused by the frequent start-up of conventional air conditioners. And when 1.0, 2.0, or 6.0 is used, it is decided according to "road conditions", that is, according to the number of indoor units turned on and the temperature to be reached in the room, the outdoor opportunity automatically adjusts its "discharge".
In terms of environmental protection, we must also consider the quality of human settlements. On the one hand, we must reduce the damage to the natural environment and on the other hand we must reduce the impact on the living environment. According to the requirements of the "Montreal Protocol" and "Kyoto Protocol" and other international standards, the central air-conditioning's environmental protection level is currently mainly in the areas of limiting the emission of harmful substances, reducing electromagnetic interference, and reducing noise.
For example, most air conditioner manufacturers, including Samsung, have already given up R22 refrigerant and switched to R410A environmental refrigerants. At the same time, according to the EU-RoHS Directive, procurement, production, and restrictions on six toxic and hazardous substances such as lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers are limited.
In the aspect of anti-electromagnetic interference, the EU electromagnetic compatibility EMC certification includes two meanings. First, the air-conditioning equipment can work in a certain electromagnetic environment and have a certain degree of electromagnetic immunity; secondly, the electromagnetic disturbance generated by the equipment itself cannot be used for other electronics. Products, such as household appliances and equipment, have a large impact and are also good for human health in indoor environments. In this regard, the use of digital central air conditioning can avoid high-order ripples and reduce the effects of electromagnetic interference.
Noise is also a pollution. The noise generated by multiple outdoor units can even significantly affect the comfort of living. Experiments have shown that the appropriate environmental sound of the human body is below 45 decibels. If the noise of a single air conditioner can be reduced to about 30 decibels (the operating noise of the Samsung DVM PLUS III is 28 dB), it is equivalent to the sound of many people turning books in a common library, which is most conducive to sleep.
In general, digital central air conditioning is a kind of “green” air conditioner, which can save operating costs under the premise of ensuring comfort. It will be a good choice for commercial real estate projects or residential projects.
A system engineering
Commercial air-conditioning is a system, and only the air-conditioning equipment components are energy-efficient, and it is still not able to ensure system energy-saving. This is just like in a car. Only the engine energy-saving can not guarantee the overall energy-saving of the automobile. The energy-saving and environmental protection of air-conditioning systems requires a complete and optimized system solution. Taking the application of Samsung commercial air-conditioning in Tongji Union Square in Shanghai as an example, the overall solution usually includes the load configuration, location selection of indoor and outdoor machines, air flow analysis, control system program selection, and even the design of the outdoor unit louvers and wind caps. Inside. Among them, air flow analysis highlights the professionalism of the design program.
Tongji Union Square is an office building, hotel, conference, and commercial complex. The base area is 16735m2 and the total construction area is 81403m2. The ground structure in the entire block can be divided into four parts, Building B, Building C, Building D, Building E. The project uses a total of Samsung 2880HP. The developer requested to consider the situation in which the user does not use the air conditioner at the same time, and requires the measurement of the individual households.
In the design, the “heat island effect” that is commonly encountered in high-rise buildings should also be considered. According to the second law of thermodynamics, the air conditioner needs to dissipate the heat inside the room to the outside and consumes a large amount of extra electric energy. Some of these electric energy will be converted into heat energy. The continuous operation range of the air-conditioning equipment is required to be within a certain temperature range. If the ambient temperature of a general air conditioner exceeds 43 degrees Celsius, the equipment will automatically stop.
In response to these two major issues, Samsung made the following arrangements: The B building was equipped with a centralized control and household metering system. In the C building, a separate air-conditioning system was installed for each household. At the same time, the B-floor and C-floor outdoor units are placed on each floor of the equipment platform to avoid the vertical height difference between the indoor and outdoor machines and the horizontal refrigerant piping is too long to ensure that the maximum take-up length is less than 40m so as to reduce the cooling loss.
After analyzing the air flow inside and outside the equipment room of the entire building and the equipment room on the middle floor, Samsung's diagnosis results showed that the return air temperature of the outdoor unit is below 40°C, and the outdoor unit can run continuously; the cooling and heating functions of the outdoor unit are not affected. The overall energy efficiency and stability of the entire air-conditioning system are guaranteed.
In addition to Tongji Union Square, Samsung’s design program for the China Plaza project in Guangzhou is also quite representative, including airflow analysis, heat island analysis, placement of outdoor units, and extraction of heat. Samsung used computer simulation to simulate the entire project. Park Ying-kuo believes that more and more real estate developers have realized that buying a system solution is more valuable than simply purchasing air-conditioning products. The future requirements for equipment suppliers will be "helping solve problems from a professional and technical perspective." .
Under the background of energy saving and emission reduction, “green real estate” is tying together real estate companies and commercial air-conditioning companies. At present, many of China's leading real estate developers are actively exploring ways to save energy in buildings. It is reported that Vanke, Shanghai Greenland and other well-known real estate developers have formed a strategic cooperative relationship with Samsung Commercial Air-Conditioning. Samsung's high-efficiency and energy-saving commercial air-conditioning helps its new projects to increase energy-saving levels. In this regard, people in the industry believe that the realization of building energy-saving goals will depend on the efforts of many parties, among which commercial air-conditioning companies will exert a great push for realizing “green real estate”. In the participation and innovation of commercial air-conditioning companies, real estate energy-saving spring Already in sight.
